With the high school football season scheduled to start this Friday for many teams, athletic directors are cautioning parents that the new guidelines may not necessarily mean fans will be in the stands.
Knoch’s athletic department sent an email to parents breaking down the 250 person limit for outdoor gatherings and how that would look at a football game.
The sample breakdown showed that, without even factoring in players and coaches for opposing teams, Knoch will have 178 people at the game already.
Athletic officials also noted it could be tough to get any fans into a volleyball and basketball games.
Sports like golf, soccer, tennis, and cross country may have an easier time abiding by the rules, but ultimately athletic departments are asking for patience as they continue to figure out the new rules.
