It’s the first day of school for students in Moniteau.
Originally, Moniteau was going to start the Tuesday after Labor Day, but Superintendent Tom Samosky said the district wanted to give teachers just a little more time to prepare.
“We basically want to ensure that our teachers have the ability to practice with some of the new resources we have, in regards to our instructional platforms,” Samosky said. “We felt giving them more opportunities to use the tools is going to build confidence and better serve our students.”
The district is the final Butler County school district to head back to class.
