Flu season is fast approaching and VA Butler Healthcare is offering help to local veterans.
A series of ‘Fall Flu Clinics’ begins on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of the Abie Abraham VA Health Care Center on North Duffy Road in Center Township. Veterans will remain in their vehicles.
Veterans can receive a flu vaccine from their VA provider, or vets not enrolled will be covered if they bring a copy of their military discharge. Non-veterans including spouses and dependents are not eligible for a flu shot from the Butler VA.
Flu shots will also be offered at the Armstrong, Clarion, Cranberry Township, Lawrence, and Mercer County VA Clinic locations. Appropriate physical distancing and wearing of a CDC approved face mask will be required. Visit the Butler VA website for more information.
