Chase Elliott won the Nascar Cup Series race Sunday at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval course, his fourth consecutive road course victory dating back to last season. Elliott advanced into the playoff round of eight drivers as they move on to Kansas Speedway this weekend. Denny Hamlin, Kurt Busch, Kevin Harvick, Brad Keselowski, Martin Truex, Jr., Joey Logano and Alex Bowman will battle for the final four spots for the November championship race in Phoenix. Defending series champion Kyle Busch was the first reigning champion to be eliminated before the round of eight since the playoff format debut in 2014.
