A Butler County man is facing charges after he physically assaulted a referee at a hockey game.
The incident happened just before midnight last Friday at the Pittsburgh Ice Arena in New Kensington. Our news partners at WPXI-TV report that 43-year-old Jeffery Gilbert of Buffalo Township was charged after he allegedly punched the referee and pushed his head into the ice.
Video surfaced of the assault soon thereafter and other officials said they witnessed the incident too.
