Three men are facing charges for allegedly stealing and cashing checks from a Butler Township business.
Police began their investigation back in early July, after the Agway on Evans City Road reported that checks were stolen from their business. Investigators found that those checks were eventually altered and increased in value to nearly $15,000. A total of five checks were eventually cashed at banks in Allegheny and Lawrence County.
Police arrested 55-year-old Willie Caldwell Jr. of Washington County, 37-year-old Cedric Doughty of Pittsburgh, and 24-year-old Chase Wilson-Degusipe of Markleysburg.
All three men face multiple charges.
