IndyCar driver Tony Kanaan will forgo retirement to join seven-time Nascar champion Jimmie Johnson at Chip Ganassi Racing in 2021. Kanaan had planned for this year, his 23rd season, to be his last. The pandemic limited him to just six races. The two-year agreement with Ganassi will see Kanaan drive the IndyCar oval races, with Johnson driving in the road and street course events.
