There were 219 new cases of COVID-19 reported by the state on Wednesday for Butler County.
That comes with 324 negative tests, giving the daily report from the Department of Health a 40.3 percent positivity rate.
There were also another six additional deaths added to Butler County’s count by the state on Wednesday, bringing the death toll for the county to 69 since the start of the pandemic.
As of Wednesday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital was treating 27 patients for the coronavirus, with seven people in the ICU. Butler health System reported one death to the state on Tuesday and another on Wednesday.
There were 144 additional deaths statewide, marking a grim milestone for Pennsylvania as there has now been more than 10,000 people who have died from the coronavirus.
The Department of Health also reported 6,759 new cases and around 20,000 negative tests.
