The Pittsburgh Pirates signed infielder Erik Gonzales to a one-year contract worth more than $1.2 million Wednesday. They also signed reliever Michael Feliz to a $1 million deal. Both deals came before last night’s 8pm deadline to offer contracts to players under team control who did not have contracts for 2021. The team non-tendered pitcher Clay Holmes, allowing him to become a free agent.
The Pirates do retain first baseman Will Craig, who was designated for assignment last week. He passed through waivers – and will head back to Triple-A.
