The Pittsburgh Steelers will have until Monday to prepare for their next opponent – the Washington Football Team. Kick-off is 5pm at Heinz Field.
Outside linebacker Bud Dupree’s season is officially over – due to a torn ACL. He will be replaced by rookie Alex Highsmith, who had his first NFL sack against Dallas. He also had an interception in the win over Baltimore in November. His senior season at UNC-Charlotte – Highsmith had 15 sacks and 21-1/2 tackles for a loss.
Dupree this season had eight sacks, 25 quarterback hits and two forced fumbles. He was playing under the Steelers franchise tag.
Cornerback Steven Nelson is questionable for the Washington game after suffering a knee injury against Baltimore.
