Butler County is joining with a couple of local organizations to enact a plan to support hospitality industry employees who are being laid off as a result of the latest state protective measures.
The Butler County Commissioners have announced that they are partnering with the Center for Community Resources and the Butler County Tourism and Convention Bureau in this effort.
Hospitality business owners or managers who are affected by this latest mandate should email Butler County Tourism for more information. Employees are invited to take advantage of a Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank distribution event on December 22nd from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lernerville Speedway. Reservations are required.
Any community member or organization who would like to support this effort can do so through the Butler County Tourism Foundation or the Center for Community Resources.
The Tourism Bureau is also starting a new campaign on their website and social media titled “Talk about Takeout” to highlight take-out options from local establishments. It will also encourage customers to take photos of their food
and share their experiences using #TalkAboutTakeout on social media. A web page dedicated to local takeout
options will be featured on the Tourism Bureau’s website along with ways to socially share your foodie photos
and recommendations. More info can be found here: www.VisitButlerCounty.com
