Stanford basketball coach Tara VanDerveer passed the late Pat Summit last night to become the winningest women’s basketball coach ever. The 67-year old VanDerveer earned her 1,099th victory last night when the top-ranked Cardinals defeated Pacific 104-61. She is in her 35th season at Stanford, and 42nd overall as a head coach.
