#20-ranked Texas defeated Colorado 55-23 in the Alamo Bowl last night.

Alabama wide receiver DeVonta Smith has been named the Associated Press player of the year. He is the first receiver to win the award since its inception 1998. Alabama quarterback Mac Jones was the runner-up.
