One man was taken to the hospital after an accident with a garbage truck yesterday on I-79.
The two vehicle crash happened around 11 a.m. in the northbound lane near mile marker 80—which is near the Cranberry Township exit.
Police say 68-year-old Richard Hirsh became distracted and rear ended a garbage truck.
Hirsh was taken to UPMC Cranberry for his injuries, although police did not say how severe the injuries were. His vehicle was also significantly damaged.
