The NCAA announced Monday that it will play all of the “March Madness” Division I men’s basketball tournament games in Indiana this year. The 67 games will take place at venues surrounding the Indianapolis area, which was already scheduled to host the Final Four. The goal of the “hub” is to reduce the possibility that March Madness could be canceled by the pandemic for a second straight year.
A similar announcement regarding the women’s tournament is expected soon.
The NBA told teams Monday that it is imposing a stricter face mask policy to help prevent spread of the virus. Under the new guidelines beginning today, players who are dressed for games and eligible to participate will have to wear masks in the bench area until they enter games.
