The Cleveland Browns eliminated the Pittsburgh Steelers from the NFL playoffs with a 48-37 victory at Heinz Field last night in the AFC Wild Card round. It was the Browns first playoff win since 1995.
It was the most points ever given up by a Steelers team in the playoffs. Ben Roethlisberger was intercepted four times in the game. He threw for a Steelers post-season record of 501 yards, but most of that was after the Browns had built a 28-0 lead in the first quarter. He also threw the ball a team playoff record of 68 times.
The Browns move on to face the AFC’s #1 seeded Kansas City Chiefs next Sunday. Kick-off will be 3:05pm.
The Buffalo Bills host the Baltimore Ravens Saturday at 8:15pm in the other AFC Divisional Round playoff. The Bills defeated Indianapolis 27-24 Saturday.
Baltimore defeated Tennessee 20-13.
In the NFC:
–The Los Angeles Rams will meet the top-seeded Green Bay Packers Saturday at 4:35pm. The Rams eliminated the Seattle Seahawks Saturday 30-20.
Tampa Bay will travel to New Orleans Sunday at 6:40pm. The Buccaneers defeated Washington 31-23 Saturday. The Saints topped the Chicago Bears 21-9 Sunday.
