Governor Tom Wolf is calling on House Republicans to give approval of funds to distribute to small businesses in Pennsylvania.
Wolf held a press conference late last week encouraging the GOP led house to make the $145 million available to businesses impacted by COVID-19, and specifically pointed to restaurants as needing the help.
“But right now, we have this $145 million and it can go out as soon as it’s appropriated,” Wolf said. “Republican leaders so far haven’t acted. And we’ve got to change that. We need them to act now, and act quickly because businesses need the help right now. They need it quickly.”
Republicans released a statement saying they were willing to work with Wolf on “relief that accompanies long-term solutions that, among other things, ends the threat of these ridiculous shutdowns.”
