A Butler man is in jail after he posted threats while holding a gun on social media.
State police say 24-year-old Ryan McConnell was arrested for posting a photo of himself on the social media platform Snapchat Sunday afternoon that showed him holding an AR-15 with a can of ammunition and the caption “Ready for school!”
The photo was reported by someone through an FBI tip line.
When police arrested McConnell, they seized the AR-15 rifle, a pistol, ammunition, and two cell phones.
He’s facing a number of charges including assault, terroristic threats, and disorderly conduct.
McConnell is currently in the Butler County Prison.
