Residents waiting for federal stimulus checks should be aware of possible delays depending on how they had their taxes prepared.
According to Attorney General Josh Shapiro, tax preparation companies use temporary bank accounts when assisting with filing tax returns.
The IRS has used that information when issuing stimulus checks resulting in a delay for some residents. Those who might be affected by this issue and have not yet received stimulus checks will likely receive them after February 1st when a second round of checks will be mailed.
Anyone with questions about stimulus checks can call the IRS directly or visit the website of the IRS to file a complaint.
