The total number of people who died from Covid-19 in January at the Butler Health System was a bit lower than it was in December.
Our records indicate 31 people died from COVID-19 at Butler Memorial last month.
In December, 44 people died due to COVID-19. We had initially reported that 37 died in December, but due to the fact that hospital data reporting fell on a holiday weekend, some information came in a few days after the month ended that resulted in a total of 44 people passing away.
December has been the deadliest month at Butler Memorial since the pandemic began.
If we look back even further, November saw 21 deaths at the hospital.
Our newsroom receives data directly from the Butler Health System a few days per weeks outlining the number of COVID-19 patients the hospital is treating as well as the number of individuals who have passed from COVID-19.
