The NHL revised coronavirus protocols Thursday after the Colorado Avalanche became the fifth team in the past week to have games postponed due to COVID-19 issues. The New Jersey Devils are shut down through at least Saturday. The Buffalo and Minnesota teams are shut down into next week. The Vegas Golden Knights are permitted to resume activities today.
So far, there have been 26 games postponed, including two games for the Pittsburgh Penguins with the Devils.
Among the protocols being adjusted – glass panels are being removed from behind benches to allow for better air flow, all meetings will be virtual, and teams will space out locker rooms.
