Overnight snow led many school districts in Butler County to move to remote learning Tuesday.
A winter weather advisory was in place until 1 p.m. Tuesday, but a couple of inches and slick roads in the morning motivated district officials to call off in-person learning.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, most districts have ramped up online learning and have the protocols in place to transition to an online classroom instead of taking a snow day.
There were also minor accidents Tuesday morning across the county. A one vehicle crash happened in Connoquenessing Township on Evans City Road just before 5 a.m. No one was injured in the crash, but fuel was leaking from the vehicle.
More significant snow hit southern Butler County and the Pittsburgh area.
