There were 23 new cases of COVID-19 and two additional deaths reported by the state for Butler County on Friday.
That now brings the death toll in the county to 352 since the beginning of the pandemic.
However, our reporting indicates that Friday marks the lowest number of new cases since November 5th.
As of Friday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital was treating 10 patients for the coronavirus which is down from 19 on Wednesday, with two COVID patients in the ICU which is one less than Wednesday.
The Butler Health System did report two deaths to the state on Tuesday and one more on Wednesday.
Statewide, there were 3,987 new cases and 99 additional deaths.
