A Butler man is in custody for attempted homicide following a shooting in the City of Butler.
City Police say they responded to a call for shots fired on Mitchell Avenue early Monday morning.
Upon their investigation, police say that 41-year-old Darnell Wynn became a suspect. After multiple attempts to contact him, police eventually took him into custody after serving a search warrant to a home on State Street.
Police say Wynn allegedly fired multiple rounds into a vehicle that was trying to leave the area. The casings and vehicle were both recovered.
An additional search of the home found a semi-automatic pistol, about two ounces of crack cocaine, and 10,000 stamp bags of heroin.
Wynn is now facing felony charges for attempted homicide charges and drug possession.
