Christopher Bell won his first Nascar Cup Series race Sunday at the Daytona road course. Bell held off Joey Logano for his first victory for Joe Gibbs Racing.
The Bell win gave Gibbs Racing its second win of the weekend at Daytona. 18-year old Ty Gibbs, Joe Gibbs grandson, won the Xfinity Series race Saturday night in his first career national start. For Bell, it was just his second start with the Gibbs organization. He joins last week’s winner of the Daytona 500, Michael McDowell, in two of the coveted 16 playoff spots.
