Freeport senior Mark Livingston won the PA Western Regional Boys Bowling championship Friday in Pittsburgh.
Livingston, who was the runner-up at last weeks WPIBL Boys Championship, was nearly perfect with a 299 game in the title match against Dylan Scheidler of North Allegheny. He averaged 217 over five games of qualifying and then won four head-to-head matches in a step-ladder final to complete his victory. Livingston and eight other boys move on to the PA State Championships in Pittsburgh in two weeks.
Butler Sophomore Eric Devore led three Golden Tornado bowlers competing at the championships averaging 205 in the five game qualifier to finish 16th.
