The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the New York Rangers 4-2 last night. The Pens had four players score goals in the game, beginning with Jake Guentzel netting his eighth goal of the year in the first period. Teddy Blueger had a short-handed goal in the second. Kasperi Kapanen scored his seventh goal of the season also in the second. Sidney Crosby scored his ninth goal with an empty-net in the final minute. Tristan Jarry stopped 33 of 35 shots on goal for the Penguins, who moved into sole possession of third place in the East Division.
The Pens visit the Buffalo Sabres tomorrow night.
