The Pittsburgh Pirates enjoyed another rout Tuesday in Grapefruit League play when they defeated the Atlanta Braves 10-1. The Braves were held hitless until a bloop single with two outs in the ninth inning. The Bucs had 17 hits in the game, led by Adam Frazier and Erik Gonzales who had three hits each.
The Pirates pitching staff has a 2.91 ERA over their nine preseason games, which is tied with the Los Angeles Dodgers for best in Major League Baseball. They visit the New York Yankees for a night game in Tampa tonight at 6:35pm.
The Bucs have turned five double plays in their past two preseason games.
