Congressmen from Butler County voted along party lines as the House of Representatives passed the $1.9 trillion relief package yesterday.
Both Republicans Mike Kelly and Glenn GT Thompson voted against the bill, citing additional programs that they believe are not connected to COVID relief.
Democrat Conor Lamb, who represents a portion of Cranberry Township, joined his party in supporting the bill.
The Butler County Democratic Committee released a statement applauding the bill and party leaders for taking “dramatic steps to help all citizens in these dramatically difficult times.”
