We’re springing ahead this weekend as clocks move forward one hour.
This officially starts Daylight Saving Time, in which it will stay lighter out later.
There’s now a bi-partisan effort in the Senate to make it a permanent switch. A bill sponsored by Marco Rubio of Florida and Ed Markey of Massachusetts would eliminate the switch back to standard time.
Advocates of the bill say that it would provide better safety on roads, increase people’s health, and benefit the economy.
