The Pittsburgh Penguins won their sixth consecutive game last night with a 4-1 victory over the Boston Bruins. Evgeni Malkin scored a power play goal in the second period. It was his eighth goal of the season. Malkin now has an eight-game scoring streak.
Sidney Crosby scored what would be the game-winning goal in the first period, his 11th of the season. Jake Guentzel scored an empty-net goal in the final 30 seconds, which was also his 11th goal. Tristan Jarry stopped 42 of 43 shots.
The Pens host the Bruins again tonight at 7pm. Pre-game begins on WISR 680am at 6:30pm. The Pens now lead the Bruins by five points for third place in the East Division. They will head to New Jersey for two games this weekend.
