Butler Health System is now opening up vaccine appointments to eligible members of Phase 1A regardless of counties.
Previously, the hospital had a policy where people had to be from Butler, Clarion, or Forest Counties. Now, the health system is accepting all Phase 1A individuals without county restriction.
Health officials say appointments are available based on vaccine supply.

Butler Memorial Hospital and Clarion Hospital are currently providing vaccinations for any person eligible in the 1a grouping who reside in any county. To be eligible under the 1a grouping you must be age 65 or older or age 16 to 64 with a qualifying medical condition. The current listing of qualifying conditions includes:
- Blood disorders
- Cancer
- COPD/emphysema
- Down Syndrome
- Heart problems
- Kidney problems
- Obesity
If your BMI is 30.0 or higher, it falls within the obesity range. Click here to calculate your BMI. - Pregnancy
- Smoking
- Type 2 diabetes
- Weakened immune system
