Both Pennsylvania senators are joining together to introduce a bill that is aimed at improving nursing homes.
Democrat Bob Casey and Republican Pat Toomey say long term care facilities were ravaged by the deadly pandemic.
The bill is named Nursing Home Reform Modernization Act and it would expand the oversight of poor performing long term care facilities.
The Senators said the Special Focus Facility program would be expanded under the bill; less than 100 homes nationwide are allowed to participate in the program.
