The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has announced that the moratorium on evictions for multifamily housing residents has been extended.
According to the United States Department of Agriculture, no residential evictions will be permitted through June 30th for residents living in USDA-supported housing communities.
The USDA points to funding investments in the recently passed American Rescue Plan that will benefit residents in rural America during the continuing pandemic. These include $100 million in rental assistance for low-income and elderly borrowers and $500 million in funds to help rural hospitals increase access to COVID-19 vaccines and help communities with food assistance.
