There were 111 new cases of COVID-19 and no additional deaths for Butler County over the weekend.
That means over the past week, two county residents died due to COVID, which is the fewest number of deaths the county has recorded in a week so far in 2021.
Statewide hospitalizations though continue to tick up, with now more than 2,200 patients receiving treatment for the coronavirus. As of Monday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital was treating 16 patients, with three COVID patients in the ICU.
The Department of Health reported 9,276 new cases and 47 additional deaths this weekend.
