The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 6-5 in 10-innings Sunday, and took two of three games in their series. It was their first series win in Milwaukee since September of 2018. Colin Moran drove in four runs. Bryan Reynolds and Erik Gonzalez joined Moran with two hits each. The Bucs have now won six of their last nine games. Chad Kuhl allowed three earned runs on five hits over five innings. He walked one and struck out six. Rich Rodriguez pitched scoreless ninth and tenth innings for his first win of the year. The Pirates are off today then visit Detroit beginning Tuesday.
The victory snapped a 12-game extra innings losing streak for the Pirates, which was the second-longest in Major League Baseball history.
