The Karns City Gremlins won their sixth consecutive District-9 championship last night with a 41-14 victory over Punxsutawney at Clarion University. Dalton Beham and Clay Garing combined to lead Karns City with 235 yards rushing and five touchdowns. The win moves the Gremlins into the PIAA 3A tournament. Karns City will meet the winner of tomorrow’s District-10 championship game between Sharon and Mercyhurst Prep.(Karns City head coach Ed Conto has now won 11 championships in his 18 years.)
