The Pittsburgh Penguins host the Buffalo Sabres tonight at PPG Paints Arena. Face-off is 7pm. Pre-game on WISR 680am begins at 6:30pm.
The Pens have gone 5-1 this season against the Sabres. Buffalo has brought up Wexford native Michael Houser, who has won his first two NHL starts, posting a .940 save percentage in both games. The Sabres are on a two-game winning streak entering tonight’s game. The Pens have won seven of their past nine.
The Washington Capitals defeated the New York Rangers 4-2 last night and have tied the Pens for first place in the NHL East Division.
Following the game, the Rangers fired team President John Davidson and General Manager Jeff Gorton.
