The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Cincinnati Reds 7-2 last night at PNC Park. It was the first time this season the Pirates defeated the Reds. JT Brubaker allowed one run over six innings in his start for the Bucs, earning his third win. He has allowed two earned runs or less in six of his seven starts this season. His ERA is 2.58.
Adam Frazier had two hits, including his first home run of the year. Frazier became the fourth player in the major leagues this season to hit safely in a season-high 12 games in a row. He leads the National League with 43 hits. Rookie Troy Stokes, Jr. had his first two MLB hits, including a double. He drove in two runs.
