There were 30 new cases of COVID-19 and no additional deaths for Butler County Friday.
As of Friday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital was treating eight patients for the coronavirus, with three COVID patients in the ICU.
BMH officials also say that universal masking will still be enforced at the hospital and other healthcare settings. But also added that the CDC announcement is “truly an exciting step forward.”
Hospital officials also say that a majority of patients being treated for COVID have not been vaccinated.
Statewide, the number of new cases there were 1,643 which is significantly lower than the average number of new cases just a few weeks ago.
