WPIAL Baseball:
–Butler will face North Allegheny today in the 6A semifinals. First pitch is 4:30pm at Shaler high school. The Golden Tornado reached the semifinals for the first time in 10 years with a 5-1 win over Mt. Lebanon Saturday.
Norwin and Hempfield meet in the other 6A semifinal today.
–North Catholic will face Laurel Highlands tonight in the 4A quarterfinals. The game begins at 5pm in Murrysville.
Softball:
–The Knoch Girls will meet Elizabeth Forward tonight in the 4A quarterfinals. The game begins at 5pm at Plum high school.
Boys Lacrosse:
–Mars will meet South Fayette tonight in the 2A semfinals. The game begins at 8pm at Shaler high school. The game is part of a semifinal doubleheader, with the Mars Girls taking on Hampton at 6pm.
–North Catholic will face Chartiers Valley in the other 2A semifinal tonight at 8pm in Fox Chapel.
The Slippery Rock Girls Track and Field team won the District-10 3A championship Saturday at Slippery Rock University’s Mihalik-Thompson Stadium. The Rockets edged Wilmington in the team scoring by two points.
The Grove City Boys won the D10 title for the third consecutive year, topping Wilmington 89-79 in the team competition.
