Stanley Cup Playoffs:
–Boston defeated the New York Islanders 2-1 in overtime and have taken a 2-1 series lead.
–Carolina defeated Tampa Bay 3-2 in overtime for their first win in that series. The Lightning still lead the series 2-1.
The NHL has suspended Winnipeg forward Mark Sheifele four games for the crushing hit on Montreal’s Jake Evans in Game One that led to Evans being carried off the ice on a stretcher. He is out indefinitely with a concussion.
