–The Armstrong Softball team avenged a 10-run rule WPIAL championship game loss to North Hills with a 7-4 victory Monday, sending the RiverHawks to the 5A state championship game. Armstrong will meet Lampeter-Strasburg Friday. All of the title games are being played at Penn State.
–Beaver and Mt. Pleasant from the WPIAL also reached state softball title games.
–The North Allegheny baseball team defeated Spring-Ford 3-1 to reach the 6A PIAA championship. The Tigers will get LaSalle College high school in the championship game Friday.
–New Castle defeated Montour 3-1 in the 4A semifinals. The Red Hurricanes get Wyoming Area in the state championship game.
–Shenango defeated Serra Catholic 5-0 to reach the 2A championship against Schuylkill Haven.
–Eden Christian and Bethel Park have reached state title games.
