Butler County’s new radio system update is now in its final step.
Officials say a change order that was approved at last week’s county commissioner meeting was the last move in the years-long plan to bring the emergency services radio system up to date.
The project goes back to a 2014 study that found Butler County needed to update its radio system. A contract was signed in 2016—and a change order to the deal last week was the final step in the process.
Overall, the project cost just over $9.8 million.
