A teenager is in custody for setting a number of fires to homes in Kittanning.
Our news partners at WPXI report that several fires were set intentionally yesterday morning in Kittanning. All four fires happened at homes or garages near each other in a small area.
Three of those structures were vacant, however there was one woman inside her home on Woodward Avenue. She escaped without injuries, but four cats died in the fire. Crews say her home was significantly damaged.
The identity of the teen hasn’t been revealed by police, but he is facing charges and is currently being detained.
