The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has issued a Code Orange Alert for Tuesday.
That means air quality will be poor today due to the sunny and humid weather.
Officials say young children, the elderly, and those with respiratory problems like asthma are especially vulnerable to the effects of air pollution and should limit outdoor activities.
Other people and businesses are encouraged to drive less or carpool today; conserve electricity by setting air conditioners at higher temps; and if you need to refuel, they ask that you do it after dusk.
