At least one person was taken to the hospital after a multi-vehicle crash this morning in Forward Township.
It happened around 8:45 a.m. on Evans City Road near Ash Avenue—which is about a half mile east of Evans City.
Dispatchers initially called it a four vehicle accident, although that number could not be confirmed by crews on the scene. Details of what caused the crash are still unclear. Harmony Fire crews say two ambulances were called to the scene, and that at least one person was taken to the hospital.
Travelers through the area though had to wait in traffic for over an hour as crews worked to clear the scene. At one point, traffic in the westbound lane was backed up near Brownsdale Road.
