The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission is recommending home owners to keep an eye on their electric bills this time of year.
Recent increases in energy prices have ranged from 2 to 30 percent and the PUC says those rate hikes combined with the hot weather should have people remaining proactive with their electric bills.
They encourage regular price “checkups” with their electric bills and reviews of current contract with their competitive suppliers.
