A dispute over dogs escalated to criminal charges after a weapon was fired over the weekend in Evans City.
According to a criminal complaint filed by the Evans City Seven Fields Regional Police Department, a woman went to the station around 2:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon to report a gun fired during an argument.
Police traveled to the scene in the 200 block of South Washington Street to find 37-year-old Brittany Young of Grove City who allegedly still had a Ruger Security-9 in her hand pointing in the direction of a man who had been engaged in an argument with another man and woman about dogs relieving themselves on different properties.
Young surrendered to police but allegedly told them she would have fired more times but the gun jammed. She has been charged with felony Aggravated Assault for allegedly discharging her weapon into the ground near the man.
