Students at local Catholic schools will soon benefit with scholarships thanks to a recent donation.
According to the Diocese of Pittsburgh, an anonymous donor has set aside funds that are supposed to be used for Butler Catholic, St. Wendelin, Holy Sepulchur, and St. Joe’s High School in Natrona Heights.
The program is known as STAR—student tuition assistance relief—and the donor set up the scholarship in honor of Saint John Paul the Second.
The scholarship is intended for those students in financial need. Those interested in applying for the program are encouraged to reach out to those schools as soon as possible.
